The Motto of Mazenod College, Anuradhapura

Servire in amore = To serve in love

The Oblates dedicated to the ministry of education consider service as the inseparable twin of love. Therefore they will dedicate themselves to lead the children, the youth and their parents in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka to act with dignity as human beings, loving and respecting one another, therebymaintaining also equality among them. Since the students belonging to major Religious Faiths will also be beneficiaries of the services in Mazenod College, the Oblates educators / teachers will also try to enable them to embody in their lives the values and virtues of the Founders of their Religions.

Parents Meetings every month

We continue to touch the lives of families of the students who are mainly Buddhists. Every last Saturday of the month is a day dedicated to address the parents of the students. A month before we inaugurated the school, parents had their first meeting in Rajabima Centre on 8th of December, 2019. Mr. Benedict Perera, a veteran educationist spoke to the parents on the education system in our country and the fact that we need not only to form our children intellectually, but also to develop their skills and form them holistically.

I believe God’s powerful hand guiding us and Mother Mary and St. Eugene de Mazenod interceding for us.
