The Jubilee celebrations of Oblates for the Year 2023

The Jubilees of fourteen Oblates of the Oblate Province of Colombo for the year 2023 was celebrated on 16 august 2023 at De Mazenod House, Mattakuliya. Fr. Emmanuel Fernando, OMI and Fr. Herman Paul Fernando, OMI, mark 65 and 60 years in the religious life respectively. Fr. Alexander Costa, OMI, and Fr. Angelo Martyn, OMI, celebrate 60 and 50 years in the priesthood. Fr. Jude Angelo Amirthanayagam, OMI, Fr. Lylie Jayanth Fernando, OMI, Fr. Ruwan Prasanna Perera, OMI, Fr. Thyagan Fonseka, OMI and Fr. Thyagan Fonseka, OMI celebrate 25 years of priesthood, while Fr. Don Asanga Viraj, OMI, Fr. Anton Niroshan Fernando, OMI, Fr. Joseph Roshan Fernando, OMI, Fr. Suranga Indrajith Gunasekara, OMI, Fr. Don Dileepa Jayamaha, OMI, Fr. Ajith Ruwan Perera, OMI celebrate 25 years of religious life. Jubilee Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Very Revd. Fr. Roshan J. L. Silva, OMI, the Provincial Superior of the Oblate Province of Colombo. Revd Fr. Christy Silva, OMI, the Parish priest of St. Joseph’s Church, Medawachchiya delivered the homily.
